The Riverside Festival site is on the Mill Field, a lush green ‘island’ on the River Evenlode.

The pedestrian entrance is at the end of Mill Lane opposite the railway station, off Dyers Hill, the B4437, in Charlbury, Oxfordshire OX7 3QG.

By car

Charlbury is approximately 15 minutes' drive from either Witney, Chipping Norton, Woodstock or Burford. From Oxford the journey is approximately 30 minutes.

By train

Charlbury is on the main London Paddington-Oxford-Worcester-Hereford line with regular hourly trains running in both directions. The journey time from Paddington is less than 1hr 20mins, from Oxford it takes as little as 15mins and from Worcester Shrub Hill the journey time is around an hour. For train times and ticket prices go to Great Western Railway. The festival site is only a few minutes walk from the railway station.

By bus

Bus services to Charlbury from Oxford and Woodstock (S3), and Witney and Chipping Norton (X9) are operated by Stagecoach. There are regular hourly services on Saturdays, but no bus service on Sundays.

Information for disabled visitors

The Mill Lane is an unmade track about 130m long. The festival entrance is another 160m along Mill Field. The Mill Field itself is a meadow, and whilst the grass isn't cut 'lawn short', it can be a little bit uneven in places. 

The festival site is approximately 370m end to end. The terrain is flat, with only some small undulations towards the second stage area, but there are no solid walkways on site. 

Disabled toilet facilities are provided next to the First Aid tent. Parking is available on site for Blue Badge holders only - you will be guided by a steward from the top of Mill Lane. For any other access enquiries, please email us at admin [at] riversidefestival [dot] charlbury [dot] com
